The only problem you will have with this device is if you intend to use it elsewhere, since despite claims it is compatible with other sockets and can handle upto 100W TDP (source: auction sites), there is no official support. So you're stuck guessing: is it 70W TDP..89W..100W?
Sure, it's an OEM device but come on AMD/Foxconn, help us out a bit eh? I wanted to use this in a 939 board but I simply do not know what the TDP is, hence whilst it may be socket compatible it may not be able to handle the faster models that fall into the higher TDP range (such as the 4800+ x2).
Other than this, I'd say this is a great AM2/AM2+/AM3 cooler. Installation was a piece of cake and it has performed like a charm since day one. Just give a nice old clean every now and then. Good performance for an OEM cooler. (Posted on 02/04/2014)
