Can't vouch for the durability or other long term properties, but these touchpad stickers work fine so far. Easy to apply, and an associated Youtube video explains how to remove the old one and clean the underlying surface. Ordered one for my own computer initially to test them out, then ordered a couple more as future spares and for another machine here at home whose touchpad surface needed replacing.
